Here is my first newsletter, which made itself wait for various reasons. The most obvious one was 'What subject to go with?' And here we are! The buzz of the new season pushed me to write and share some things with you. Never mind, it is nearly Easter. There is still time to get inspired.

I have been thinking of ways to combine my passion for playful illustrations & interior decorations to express my excitement about the coming season.

The spring season's highlight for me and most of us is naturally the awakening nature with its blooming and buzzing aspects accompanied by the longwaited sunshine. I enjoy replanting my indoor plants and exchanging winter decorations for items focusing on the upcoming Easter period. Yes, I know, Easter is not Christmas. However,  the welcoming of Spring & Easter is a thing that sets the mood in our home for the whole season and kickstarts our attitude for the year. As they say, 'Spring is the season of renewal and new beginnings', technically a "rebirth".

So, I created a few things that could be used in my home and might interest you.

The Easter Egg tree might not be well-known in the UK, but it is a popular, traditional, decorative element in Hungary, Austria, Poland, etc, during Easter. Its roots can be traced back to Germany, and it is called Ostereierbaum. There are several ways you can make one yourself. I am a big fan of paper craft, so I designed & illustrated the below egg shapes that anyone at home can print to brighten up their space. Check out the video below for the step-by-step instructions.

This is just one way to use these decorative prints. Another idea is to create cute Easter garlands. You only need a hole puncher and a long string. The final step is to find the perfect spot to hang them.

If one starts brainstorming, there are other creative ways to use these prints. For example, they can be printed in a smaller size (A5) and used to make little Easter egg stands

It can be great fun for kids and adults and be a creative activity.

Usually, once I imagine and finish an illustration project, it inspires me to think of different uses or new concepts that could complement the theme, like colourfully illustrated pictures focusing on the same vibe. The little printed cards seen below can be placed on your display cabinet, in your kitchen, on the wall, etc., and brighten up your days.

You can find the prints and eggs in my online shop, or if you feel well inspired, create your own drawings.

So, these are the things I've been doing in the past couple of weeks. Feel free to sign up for my newsletter to hear more about my creative life's ups and downs.
